Google Advertisers Now Have Access to Facebook Ads

Rivals cooperate on FBX

Google now has Facebook ad space to sell you. The search company just announced that ad agencies that buy through DoubleClick would have access to FBX, Facebook’s exchange.

This means that advertisers can now go through Google’s DoubleClick to purchase inventory Facebook’s real-time ad platform, on top of the dozens of other exchanges already available. The move is a sign that while Google and Facebook are intense rivals (previously Facebook had blocked Google from FBX), there are areas of cooperation, especially when it comes to serving up ads across the Internet.
