Gawker Calls Ashton Kutcher a 'Massive Whore'
Points to conflicts of interest in guest-edited 'Details'
Gawker’s Ryan Tate has a big problem with Ashton Kutcher and his guest-edited issue of Details. In a scathing piece posted yesterday, Tate calls out the actor for plugging a number of tech companies in which he’s invested—and failing to disclose those investments—in a special online “social issue” of the magazine.
One of the articles, “The Titans of Tech,” profiles four tech companies—three of which reportedly have received investments from Kutcher. But nowhere in the paragraphs detailing Airbnb, Foursquare, and Flipboard is there any disclosure mentioning Kutcher’s financial ties.
