Facebook, Twitter Push Dunkin' Donuts West

Quick-server enters California thanks to social media

Dunkin' Donuts—a Starbucks rival that's been a New England/East Coast mainstay for decades—announced today that it's finally entering the southern California market in 2015. Dunkin' Donuts CEO Nigel Travis said that his company is seeking franchisees in Los Angeles, Riverside, San Diego, San Bernadino, Ventura and Orange Counties.

The exec's announcement appropriately was delivered through social media, via Dunkin' Donuts blog, since he said the brand's Facebook and Twitter audiences were instrumental in making the decision to push westward.
