CNNPolitics.com Names Bryan Monroe Editor
Bryan Monroe has been named editor of CNNPolitics.com, a newly created position.
Monroe was most recently a visiting professor at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. During his journalism career, Monroe has served as president of the National Association of Black Journalists; and vp and editorial director at Ebony and Jet magazines in Chicago.
In 2005, Monroe led a team of Knight-Ridder reporters in Biloxi, Miss. covering the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina that eventually won the Pulitzer Prize Gold Medal the following year.
