ABC, Nielsen Team Up for 'Generation' iPad Promo

ABC wants to encourage viewers of its upcoming new series My Generation to watch the show with their iPads in hand.

The network, in conjunction with The Nielsen Company, has rolled out a My Generation Sync iPad App within Apple’s App Store. The App is designed to be used as fans watch My Generation, which debuts on Sept. 23. It employs Nielsen’s Media-Sync Platform, an audio watermarking technology that enables the app to synch up with episodes of the show, either as they’re being broadcast or when viewers watch recordings of the show.
