Trib Combines Newsgathering With TV Stations in Hartford, Conn.

Tribune Company will relocate the operations of its two Hartford, Conn., television stations into the building occupied by The Hartford Courant to form a new combined news-gathering entity, the company announced Monday.

In addition, it will replace Courant Publisher Steve Carver with Richard Graziano, general manager of WTIC-TV and WTXX-TV. He was named
publisher of the Courant “effective immediately.”

“This is the future of media,” Randy Michaels, Tribune’s chief operating officer, said in a statement. “Whether in print, over the air, or online—the delivery mechanism isn’t as important as the unique, rich nature of the content provided.
