Time Inc.'s Jim Kelly to Step Down

An era is coming to an end at Time Inc., where Jim Kelly, once longtime editor of its flagship newsweekly, is stepping down. Kelly spent most of his 30-year career at Time magazine, rising through the ranks to managing editor in 2001. He gave up the job in 2006 to become managing editor of Time Inc., a newly created corporate post.
 
As managing editor, Kelly led the newsweekly to a National Magazine Award for a single-topic issue on the Sept.
