Time Inc.'s CEO Search Said to Be Nearing End

New boss could be chosen next month

Time Inc. has been sailing along under a three-man leadership committee, but the search for a new CEO is expected to be completed sometime in October, according to a source with knowledge of the process.

The Time Warner magazine unit has been without a CEO since Jack Griffin was fired in February. Griffin had been on the job for less than six months; Time Warner CEO Jeff Bewkes said his management style didn’t mesh with the company’s culture.
