'Spin' Replaces Online Editor

Move follows frequency reduction

Alternative music magazine Spin has named a new online editor-in-chief in preparation for its reduction in frequency and increased digital focus. Caryn Ganz will replace online editor Mark Bautz, who is leaving the company.

Ganz, who has worked at Rollingstone.com and Yahoo, is joined by two other new hires, senior editor Christopher Weingarten and associate editor David Bevan. They’ll work on print and online, supporting Spin’s digital emphasis, said editorial director Charles Aaron.

“With the magazine going bimonthly,” Aaron said, “the website has to be of the same caliber and depth of the magazine.
