'Prevention' Names Lori Burgess as Publisher

Burgess replaces Laura Petasnick

Rodale’s Prevention has named Lori Burgess as its new publisher, replacing Laura Petasnick, who left in March for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia after a year and a half in the job.

Burgess has had publishing roles at several of the industry’s leading titles, including House & Garden, Elle and Seventeen. Most recently, she was publisher at The Hollywood Reporter, which, like Adweek, is owned by Prometheus Global Media; and before that, OK!

In her new role, Burgess will oversee print and digital sales and marketing for Prevention, reporting to Chris Lambiase, svp and publishing director.
