Paul Caine, the onetime chief revenue officer at Time Inc., has regained the title of CRO, this time at Bloomberg Media Group. The division's CEO Justin Smith announced that, effective today, Caine is joining the company as global chief revenue officer, overseeing advertising sales and marketing efforts worldwide.
In the announcement, Bloomberg said that part of Caine’s new role will be to grow the company’s global reach and develop new revenue models in keeping with Bloomberg’s new consumer media strategy, which was introduced by CEO Smith earlier this year. Among the goals listed by Smith were broadening Bloomberg’s audience, growing its global TV footprint and launching new digital video and editorial products.
“Paul is one of the great talents in global advertising with deep experience in digital and traditional media,” Smith said in a statement. “He has developed some of the most innovative advertising strategies in the industry and will be instrumental in our efforts to build a portfolio of digitally led, multiplatform brands for global business decision makers around the world.”
Caine spent 23 years at Time Inc. where he worked his way to president and group publisher of Time Inc.’s Style & Entertainment Group, and in 2011, was named evp, chief revenue officer and group president of the company. Last year, he left Time Inc. to become CEO of radio content syndication company WestwoodOne (formerly Dial Global), but departed this past January after just nine months.
