New York Takes Grub Street National

New York magazine is taking its popular restaurant-themed blog franchise Grub Street and going national.

The foodie aimed blog, which covers restaurant openings, chef comings and goings and menu trends, is expanding beyond New York into Chicago, Los Angeles, Boston, Philadelphia and San Francisco. And besides rolling out five new standalone local sites (such as chicago.grubstreet.com) in those same markets, Grub Street blogs will now become the default local content suppliers on MenuPages.com, whose parent company New York media purchased last year.
