Hearst Announces More Changes Post-Deal

Carlos Lamadrid isn't coming with Hachette deal

Another day, another round of changes at Hearst Magazines.

In the wake of closing its blockbuster deal to buy Lagardère’s non-French magazines including Hachette Filipacchi Media, Hearst today announced that it's creating a new group structure to accommodate its larger portfolio. Along with the new structure, Hearst made three promotions.

A men's interests group was created with James Meigs, editor-in-chief of Popular Mechanics, as its editorial director. At Pop Mechanics, Meigs has been at the forefront of the company’s development of tablet apps.
