Former Newsweek Editor Meacham Switches Teams
Writes cover story for Time magazine
Newsweek’s loss is Time’s gain, again. Ex-Newsweek editor Jon Meacham wrote the cover story for Time's forthcoming issue, which hits newsstands this week. For the piece, his first for the magazine, Meacham took on controversial evangelical pastor Rob Bell.
“The phone rang one afternoon and Rick [Stengel, managing editor of Time] asked if I'd profile Rob Bell and assess the theology of his argument,” Meacham told Adweek by email. “I was happy to do it and had a great experience with Rick, Nancy Gibbs and the folks there.
