Cox Unloads Two Texas Dailies
Cox Enterprises has unloaded two of its Texas papers to Houston-based Southern Newspapers. Terms of the sale, which include The Lufkin Daily News and The Daily Sentinel in Nacogdoches, were not disclosed.
“These local institutions are important to their communities, and we are confident that Southern Newspapers will continue the tradition these newspapers have of providing timely, valuable and trustworthy news and information to their readers,” Doug Franklin, executive vice president at Cox Newspapers, said in a statement.
