Cox Sells Off Three Papers

Cox Enterprises has sold three of its papers in Texas and Colorado for an undisclosed sum.

The Waco Tribune-Herald went to the Robinson Media Co. The Daily Sentinel and The Nickel went to Grand Junction Media, owned by Seaton Publishing. Terms of the transactions, which are expected to close in next few weeks, were not disclosed.

Cox said that “virtually” all employees at the Herald-Tribune are expected to stay at the paper. Current publisher Belinda Gaudet is retiring while Dan Savage will succeed her as interim publisher.
