Boston Globe Launches Digital Edition

The Boston Globe Wednesday announced the launch of “GlobeReader,” a new digital edition.

With “GlobeReader,” the content of that day’s Globe is downloaded to a subscriber’s desktop, laptop, or notebook, in a format that resembles the look of the print version of the paper. A preview edition is currently available to Globe subscribers, and access to GlobeReader is included with all new subscriptions to the paper. In addition, GlobeReader users who are online can search for expanded features, like videos, slideshows and graphics, on the Globe’s Web site, Boston.com.
