ATLANTA Zimmerman Partners Advertising has won the estimated $30 million advertising account of Wickes Furniture Co., according to the shop.
The Fort Lauderdale, Fla., agency said it was selected following a review that included undisclosed competitors. The Omnicom shop added that it would develop corporate image awareness initiatives on the retail level for the Wheeling, Ill.-based client.
"Adding Wickes Furniture to our client roster shows how perfectly our approach is aligned with the needs of the furniture industry," said Jordan Zimmerman, agency founder.
John Disa, president and chief executive officer at Wickes, said that the shop's ability to integrate brand building and retail would enhance the company's position in the marketplace. The goal of the new campaign will be to attract customers, Disa added.
Wickes, which bills itself as the country's 18th largest furniture retailer, has 133 stores nationwide. Chicago, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Pittsburgh and Portland, Ore., are among its markets.
