Citing less TV spending than previously expected, Publicis Groupe’s ZenithOptimedia has scaled back its global ad spending projections for 2005 and 2006. Worldwide ad expenditures this year will grow 4.7 percent to around $404 billion, compared to an earlier projected increase of 5.4 percent, according to Zenith. In ’06, spending will climb about 6 percent to just over $428 billion, down from a previous projection of 6.5 percent, Zenith said.
