NEW YORK WPP Group’s Young & Rubicam on Friday confirmed that a search is underway for a new worldwide CEO to succeed Ann Fudge. Fudge, however, will remain CEO of the larger group of agencies called Young & Rubicam Brands, an agency representative said.

The news was expected [Adweek, April 4], given a recent string of client losses (Computer Associates, Jaguar, Sony Electronics), flagging staff morale and what sources have described as Fudge’s limited client-handling skills.
