Cheryl Hayes has risen to associate director of people services at the Y&R Cos. in Irvine, Calif. In the new post, Hayes is responsible for developing and implementing human-resources strategy and integrating those initiatives with the company’s overall business objectives. She also will manage programming in the areas of compensation, performance management, employee relations and policy. Hayes reports to Linda Denton, senior vice president, director of people services. Hayes joined Y&R in 2001 and most recently was manager of people services.
