WPP’s Young & Rubicam in New York presented creative ideas last week to Avon Products, which is seeking a corporate-image effort, sources said. The New York client handles corporate ads in-house. Independent Wieden + Kennedy in New York handles Avon’s Becoming and Mark cosmetics. The client declined comment on whether it met with Y&R. A Y&R rep was not available for comment. Avon spent $35 million on ads in 2002, according to TNS Media Intelligence/CMR.
