Young & Laramore was awarded the Indianapolis Cultural Development Initiative contract, besting five shops, city officials said last week.

The Indianapolis agency’s assignment is to promote the city’s cultural offerings. Hetrick Communications in Indianapolis will handle public relations. There was no incumbent on the account.

Billings are being worked out, and the marketing budget will be determined later this month.

The city had been talking to agencies for several months, and the last round of presentations was in January [Adweek, Jan.
