Anderson & Lembke's longtime media director is leaving his post. David Yoder is moving into a part-time position dedicated to long-range planning. His replacement is expected to be named soon, said sources.





Yoder, 60, has worked at the agency's San Francisco office since 1989 and was part of the senior management team that landed the Microsoft account about three years ago.





In his new capacity, Yoder will focus on figuring out how Internet and traditional advertising can be integrated effectively, he said. He also expects to be tapped for advice on new business pitches at A&L's San Francisco and New York offices.





As part of the techie world in which Web-savvy young people often dominate, Yoder has heard more than a few jokes about the primitive technology of his youth, said insiders. At the same time, the agency's most cutting-edge teams value him as a 'media guru,' according to colleagues.





And what about retirement? Well, that's going to have to wait a little longer, he noted.
