DALLAS Yahoo! has appointed Cammie Dunaway chief marketing officer, the company said in a statement.

She fills the post that has been vacant since John Costello left to become executive vice president and CMO at The Home Depot in Atlanta last October following a one-year stint at Yahoo!

Dunaway will oversee the Internet services provider’s global branding efforts and also helm the company’s various marketing initiatives. Dunaway, who assumes her role later this month, will report to chief operating officer Dan Rosensweig.
