NEW YORK In an effort to extend the Internet experience beyond the personal computer to home television and audio systems, mobile phones and other devices, Yahoo! has expanded its relationship with SBC Communications.

The companies, which teamed three years ago for a co-branded DSL and dial-up Internet service, said they are working to provide consumers with personalized entertainment and communications content across multiple platforms.

“The new services that will be developed out of this expanded relationship represent the next step in Yahoo!’s strategy to further deepen consumer relationships by extending our products and services beyond the desktop,” said Terry Semel, chairman and CEO of the Sunnyvale, Calif.-based
