CHICAGO Fred Wray, one of the architects of now shuttered TN Media, has died from cancer. He was 51.

In a memo announcing Wray’s passing, Jonathan Harries, CEO and chairman of Foote Cone & Belding in Chicago, called Wray “the bravest man around.” “The thing about Fred, the truly remarkable thing about Fred, was that today was not about giving up or giving in. Because Fred would never give up,” Harries wrote. “And so his passing is not about losing, but rather an exquisite demonstration of facing adversity with courage and dignity.”
