WPP Posts 5% 1Q Revenue Gain

BOSTON Bolstered by a robust new-business performance, WPP Group today reported a 5 percent gain in first-quarter like-for-like revenue to approximately $2.6 billion, compared to the same period a year ago.

In constant currency terms, factoring out acquisitions and currency fluctuations, WPP’s revenue for the quarter rose 18 percent, compared to the first three months of last year.

The London-based holding company in a statement said all regional operations (save the United Kingdom) enjoyed double-digit revenue growth during Q1, and claimed $2.34
