The WPP Group is close to wrapping up the acquisition of The Food Group, a $90 million trade marketing services company, sources said.
The two parties have inked a letter of intent, said sources. Terms were undisclosed, but an agreement is expected to close by the end of the month.
The deal is being driven by the London-based holding company’s desire to capture more business from its packaged-goods client base, particularly for its two agency networks, J.
