DALLAS Cranford Johnson Robinson Woods has named Wayne Woods president of the agency.

Frank Cox, CEO of the Little Rock, Ark.-based shop, previously held both the CEO and president positions.

Woods formerly served as executive vice president and director of the 90-person shop's travel and tourism division. That unit handles the agency's multiple tourism accounts and produces 17 publications annually that focus on travel destinations. Woods, 55, said members of the division's team would take up his day-to-day duties, though he will continue to supervise the Hot Springs Convention and Visitors Bureau account.

Woods said he would play an integral role in new-business ventures, with a particular emphasis on winning clients in Northwest Arkansas and Memphis, Tenn. The shop plans to hire someone to handle new-business efforts on a full-time basis, and Woods said he would work with that person.

Woods joined the firm, then known as Cranford Johnson Robinson & Associates, in 1990 with his brother, Shelby Woods, who now serves as CJRW's chairman. The two had previously operated The Woods Brothers agency.
