End of 3-Year Stint at FCB in San Francisco Reunites Him With Lee in N.Y. for Intel Work
SAN FRANCISCO-Messner Vetere Berger McNamee Schmetterer/Euro RSCG is rehiring creative executive Paul Wolfe.
Wolfe is rejoining Messner here where he will work on a number of accounts, including Intel, which recently shifted some duties from Euro RSCG DSW Partners in Salt Lake City and San Francisco to Messner here.
The move ends Wolfe's three-year stint as executive creative director at Foote, Cone & Belding's San Francisco office. Wolfe joined FCB from Messner's New York office, where he was a partner, in 1995.
The move reunites Wolfe and Messner partner Michael Lee, with whom he created the award-winning "Gramercy Press" ads in 1995 for MCI. Wolfe will serve as group creative director with Lee for clients such as Volvo, Dunkin' Donuts, New Balance and International Paper. Wolfe and Lee's group will also work on the agency's new Intel business, according to partner and creative director Ron Berger.
"I'm glad to be back at one of the most admired agencies in this business," said Wolfe. "I look forward to being an important part of a great future." Wolfe said he will split his time between New York and San Francisco on the Intel account. Messner will break its first Intel work by late summer.
"This new partnership with DSW has been about a year in the making," said Bob Schmetterer, agency partner, and chairman and chief executive officer of Euro RSCG.
Wolfe headed the Levi's account while at FCB until shortly before the business went into review.
