NEW YORK — Wolf Group has won the creative account for The Wiz, the client confirmed.

The New York shop bested Cliff Freeman and Partners (pitching with Zimmerman & Partners), Fallon, Bates, Hampel/Stefanides and The Concept Farm , all New York.

The Edison, N.J.-based client, owned by Cablevision, awarded its media planning and buying duties in May to RJ Palmer and marketing consultancy Schoenfeld & Partners.

Billings were undisclosed on the account but the electronics retailer spent $10 million in measured media in the first quarter of this year, per CMR, and nearly $50 million in 2001.
