NEW YORK Wolf Group is in talks to hire former BBDO creative director David Bernstein, 40, as the New York shop's next creative chief.
Bernstein, who has worked with clients such as General Electric and Pizza Hut, left BBDO in September after two years at the New York office. If hired by Wolf, Bernstein would take the creative reins from current CCO Mike Rogers.
Rogers has lately expanded his role to include client relationship building and day-to-day operations following the June departure of chief operating officer Ned Russell. Russell, who said he is in talks to join another New York agency, has not taken any Wolf clients with him. That position has been eliminated, though Wolf has added brand planning and account posts, Rogers has said.
Wolf was among the finalists competing for the $95 million Andrew Jergens and the $80 million Toyota Dealers of New York accounts, but failed to convert either client. The shop is currently participating in the $25 million Edward Jones and $5-10 million Casio reviews.
