The folks at Gillespie recently found a novel (and edible) way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. They hosted The Gillespie Potato Olympics.

The all-tuber event, which also celebrated the agency reaching $200 million in billings, was held March 16 at the shop’s headquarters in Princeton, N.J. There, staffers signed up for a total of five games scheduled for midday competition.

Among them were potato basketball, which required contestants to shoot the spuds through hoops, potato shot put (just like the Olym pics—only with the veggie) and a potato relay race, which involved carrying potatoes on spoons to the finish line.

Steven Emery, managing partner, public relations at the agency, said Gillespie hopes to hold a series of similarly creative events throughout the year.
