Webstakes.com has scuttled its media buying review and awarded interactive duties to its new ad partner.
The New York-based online sweepstakes company last month tapped Heater Advertising as its agency of record and planned to review media chores on the estimated $15-20 million account.
Instead, Webstakes has decided to work with shops on a project basis for media buying, according to Galvin Skillman, director of public relations. In addition, Heater will create online advertising; a technical support shop will be added at a later date.
Heater expects to launch a national offline holiday promotion for Webstakes in November, followed by a branding campaign in January.
Separately, Webstakes has hired Method Five in New York to revamp its Web site.
