Boston-Weber Public Relations Worldwide has replaced BSMG Worldwide as Monster.com's public relations agency of record.
The Maynard, Mass., dot.com chose Weber over Boston-based Cone and New York-based Edelman Public Relations Worldwide and Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide.
The review did not include New York incumbent BSMG or the client's ad agency of record, Mullen in Wenham, Mass. Billings will be between $1-2 million this year, said Anne Hollows, Monster.com vice president of global brand strategy.
Weber svp Jamie Pearson will lead 15 staffers in the Cambridge, Mass., San Francisco and Arlington, Va., offices. The shop's goal will be to move the career Web site from "new chip to blue chip status," Pearson said.
