Weber Shandwick has added public relations chores for two specialized technology firms.

The Interpublic Group agency recently picked up the accounts of ClearCube Technology and RemoteReality, both of which will be handled from the shop's Cambridge, Mass., office. Weber's mission: help each client expand into new markets.

The review wins give Weber, whose client roster includes Terra Lycos and Monster.com, the chance to build emerging technology brands. "ClearCube and RemoteReality have great stories to tell, and we're excited to help them promote their technology to their customers, partners and prospects," agency president Larry Weber said.

For RemoteReality of Westborough, Mass., Weber will develop a national media relations campaign to generate awareness of its 360-degree digital imaging technology, which can be operated from remote locations for security purposes.

RemoteReality's clients include the U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force and the Transportation and Safety Administration. The company hopes to extend its customer base to include defense contractors and commercial security specialists, according to president Jeb Hurley.

For ClearCube in Austin, Texas, Weber will create a press outreach campaign in the healthcare and government markets, in addition to the financial services sector it currently serves. The shop is targeting vertical periodicals in all three spheres.

ClearCube's personal desktop systems allow users to remotely operate a central computer. British Petroleum and the North American Aerospace Defense Command are among its customers.
