WASHINGTON Bill Fine, president and general manager of WBAL-TV, Hearst-Argyle Television’s NBC affiliate and early- and late-news leader in Baltimore, will return to Boston this summer to run the TV group’s largest market station.
Beginning Aug. 1, Fine will take over WCVB, Hearst-Argyle’s ABC affiliate as executive vp and general manager. He succeeds Paul La Camera, one of the TV industry’s most respected executives, who has served as president and general manager of WCVB since 1997.
