Citing the company’s changing direction, Allan Winneker is stepping down as president and chief executive officer at Wunderman Cato Johnson in Chicago.
The shop will be run by Steve Zammarachi, who continues as managing director, a post he assumed two years ago.
WCJ announced last month it would concentrate on four areas globally: interactive, database marketing, business development and strategic counsel and teleservices.
“They don’t play to my strengths,” Winneker said.
Winneker, 58, will leave at the end of May.
