NEW YORK The New York Palace Hotel has tapped WarrenKremerPaino to create a $2 million campaign aimed at high-income patrons able to pay room rates that hover around $600 per night.

The agency was awarded the account following a three-month review that included several undisclosed New York contenders, said WKP partner Peter Warren. The shop will position the Palace in a market that includes chief competitors like The Plaza, St. Regis and Four Seasons hotels.

The creative direction of the campaign has not yet been determined, though ads will likely run in upscale magazines and in financial publications such as The Wall Street Journal, International Herald Tribune and the Financial Times, Warren said.
