The Wall Street Journal has selected three finalists for its consolidated ad account. In addition, The Wall Street Journal Interactive Edition has begun quietly contacting agencies regarding its ad duties, sources said.
For the newspaper, the client said Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, San Francisco, J. Walter Thompson, New York, and TBWA/Chiat/Day, Playa del Rey, Calif., will make strategic presentations in November. JWT currently handles trade efforts. The client declined to say why Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos in Boston, which handles circulation ads, was cut.
