NEW YORK Interpublic Group directory marketing agency Wahlstrom Group has hired Todd Schwartz as executive vice president of interactive.

Schwartz, 34, will lead Stamford, Conn.-based Wahlstrom’s interactive offering, which provides Web search services. He reports to Wahlstrom CEO Peter Broadbent.

He replaces Gregg Stewart, who left in May to join Fathom Online, the San Francisco-based search engine marketing company.

Schwartz co-founded DirectMass, an agency specializing in online media and search marketing. Prior to that, he was director of East Coast sales for Ask Jeeves.
