LOS ANGELES Virgin Entertainment Group has signed independent Project 2050 to handle strategic marketing and creative services for its North American chain of Virgin Megastores, according to the client.

The agency’s initial assignments include the development of campaigns on behalf of a new Virgin Megastore in Hollywood, Calif.’s Hollywood & Highland shopping complex and the client’s flagship property in Times Square, New York. Project 2050 has also been tapped to develop an overall creative platform for the chain, and design and execute all consumer-marketing communications efforts, including advertising, collateral and in-store graphics and signage.
