NEW YORK Verizon Wireless has hired consulting company Pile and Co. to manage the review for the creative portion of its estimated $300 million-plus ad account, the client has confirmed. Pile and several other undisclosed consultants competed for the assignment, sources said.

Interpublic Group’s Lowe in New York had handled the Bedminster, N.J., client’s business and had been receiving help on it from sibling agency McCann-Erickson, also in New York.
