SAN FRANCISCO Veritas Software has launched a review for the media portion of its estimated $20 million account, the client confirmed.

It was unclear whether the creative and media incumbent, Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos, would mount a defense, although the shop will be invited to participate, said Rene Bonvanie, vice president of corporate marketing for Veritas. The agency declined comment.

The client is in talks to award the creative portion of its account to Godfrey Q & Partners, the San Francisco shop recently launched by former Hill, Holliday senior vice presidents Patrick Godfrey and Brian Quennell, sources said.
