LOS ANGELES Venables, Bell & Partners is launching a holiday campaign for HBO’s DVD box sets.

The estimated $10 million year-end effort includes three 30-second TV spots, several print ads and a dedicated Web site.

In the spots, various people are seen in their holiday-decorated homes, emotionally engaged in whatever they are watching. Reverse angle shots reveal that in place of a picture tube, their monitors contain traditional Christmas gift-roller skates, cologne bottles, food baskets, tool kits, et cetera.
