Agencies wanting to be considered for the $5.2 million Virginia Tourism Corp. advertising account, presently with Siddall, Matus & Coughter in Richmond, Va., attended a mandatory preproposal conference last week.
Shops have until Aug. 22 to submit bids for the state contract.
The account went into review this spring, but that pitch was scuttled for undisclosed reasons. A new questionnaire was issued July 28.
Officials with Siddall have announced their intentions to participate, as did Barker Campbell Farley & Mansfield.
