UPN, Dissatisfied With In-House Team, Seeks an Agency

United Paramount Network has quietly launched a nationwide search for an agency to handle its estimated $15-20 million ad account, according to sources.
Advertising for the Los Angeles, Calif.-based TV network's various programs has been handled in-house and by various freelance shops.
UPN is unhappy with the creative work of its internal team and is looking for outside help, sources said.
A client representative confirmed the national search, but declined to comment further.
UPN, which is available in about 84 percent of homes nationwide, is currently the lowest rated TV network, behind ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox and The WB. The network's current lineup includes Star Trek: Voyager, Seven Days, Moesha and Clueless. --Teresa Buyikia
