NEW YORK CBS and NBC are both virtually done with their upfront sales, with CBS expected to take in about $2.45 billion and NBC $1.8 billion in prime-time business for the 2007-08 season, sources said.

With just the CW—which has just started writing upfront deals—left to go, it is projected that this year’s prime-time upfront total could reach $9.2 billion, up about 5 percent from last year’s $8.75 billion.

CBS took in more than $100 million more than last year’s prime-time total, doing deals at cost-per-thousand rate increases averaging 8 percent.
