BOSTOn—Uno Restaurant Corp. has selected Cone for public-relations duties.
The Boston shop, a unit of Omnicom Group, bested Mullen, Wenham, Mass., and Fletcher Martin Ewing, Atlanta, in a review for the business. The budget is undisclosed.
"We were impressed with the strength of the team, their creativity and the level of expertise with consumer public relations," said Uno svp, marketing Heyward Whetsell.
Cone is developing an integrated campaign promoting the Boston-based restaurant chain's 60th anniversary in 2003, according to agency president Jens Bang.
For the past two years, Uno had handled public relations in-house. Before that, the account was at Richards/Gravelle Public Relations, Dallas.
